For the 5th
year running the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust is
pleased to announce details of their competition to draw a picture
or take a photograph of a listed building in Hertfordshire;
Entries may be from individuals or schools (this year
schools may use their own school buildings, whether listed or not)
and can show the whole building or a part of it.

Photographs may be colour or black & white, digital or film
Here are some photographic tips from Louise to help you
Never shoot into the sun
Keep your camera level with the building
Make sure your finger is not over the lens or flash
when holding the camera
To avoid camera shake, hold your breath while you
take your picture

Categories:
Art work may be in any 2D medium e.g. drawing, painting, collage.

The HBPT is running free drop-in art sessions - come along and
create your
entry for the competition.
Saturday 4th July afternoon - The Priory, High

Schools may use their own school buildings, whether listed or
not. Schools must
submit a minimum of 5 and maximum of 15 pieces of work together
to qualify for these categories. Any age group or any combined
ages can be entered together.
Entries will not be judged individually in the other
categories. Entry is limited to one set of photographs and / or
one set of art works per school.
