About the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust
The Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust was formed in 1963 at a
time when legislative protection of listed buildings was weak. In addition to
its traditional role of acquiring and refurbishing properties through agreement
with the Local Authorities and building owners, the Trust has now expanded its
activities to incorporate a consultancy service. Together HBPT and its trading
arm - the Built Environment Advisory and Management Service (BEAMS) -
offer a wide range of services.

The offices of the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust are located in The
Castle, Hertford
